Board of Nursing Rulemaking Hearing

Dear Stakeholders: 

This is to announce that a notice of rulemaking hearing for the board of nursing has been filed and is now posted on the Secretary of State’s publications website at http://state.tn.us/sos/rules_filings/07-04-12.pdf where the notice can be viewed and printed.  The subject of the rulemaking hearing is a continued competence requirement for APN prescribers that will require a one hour board approved course addressing controlled substance prescribing practices. The hearing is scheduled during the board’s August meeting, Wednesday August 22nd at 1:00 p.m.

Your comments are welcome. If possible, please provide a copy of your written comments before the meeting.

 I would  be interested in hearing from folks what they think prior to the Board meeting in Nashville in August
