DEA MATE Act 8 Hour CME Training FREE Resource

We have found some FREE training to meet the DEA MATE Act.  The requirement is a one time 8 hour education requirement.  The DEA MATE Act training also fulfills the 2 hour license renewal requirement for TN licensure as well.  Additionally, some of the training qualifies for Pharmacology hours that can be used towards your specialty NP certification renewal.

A federal law passed in December 2022 requires practitioners to complete a one-time education course on treating and managing patients with substance use disorders before applying for, or renewing, their DEA registration. The new training requirement, part of the Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act, started June 27, 2023, and applies to all prescribers with a DEA registration, except veterinarians.

There are numerous emails that indicate that you can complete this training for "only $249" but this link provides FREE education that meet the requirements.  There are probably many more free offerings online, but this is one that we wanted to share with you.
