Spring 2022 Scholarship Recipients!

NETNPA is pleased to present our Spring 2022 scholarship recipients.  

Since we did not have applicants for the Fall 2021 scholarship, the NETNPA Board decided to provide the funds allotted for the Fall 2021 scholarship to be awarded to a second Spring 2022 recipient.  We had several applicants for the Spring 2022 scholarship and we had several fantastic applicants to choose from!  This was one of the first times the Scholarship Committee had such a robust panel to choose from, so thank you to ALL who have worked hard to promote and spread the word about our scholarships.

In the coming weeks/months we will learn more about our Spring 2022 Scholarship recipients.

CONGRATULATIONS to Terry Armstrong and Chris Meyer!

Terry Armstrong is an ETSU, MSN-PMHNP student.  He is an RN at Bristol Regional on 4 east-Ortho/med surg.  He 
wants to serve the community of East TN/SW VA in the field of Psychiatric mental health, most likely in the opioid/alcohol dependence communities.

Chris Meyer is a King University, MSN, Family Nurse Practitioner student. He currently works as an ICU RN, providing care to patients who are critically ill from neurologic, neuroendovascular, pulmonary, cardiac, traumatic, psychologic, and immunologic conditions, including Covid-19. He was a new graduate during the pandemic and had to learn fast how to manage the most critically ill patients in our region.  He wants to obtain an APN degree so he can help people become healthier throughout their life cycle.  He wants to help educate folks to make healthier life choices to better avoid chronic illness and susceptibility to disease. Upon graduation Mr. Meyer wants to help his patients have a better quality of life by providing empathetic and effective primary care.
