June Meeting Date/Time Via Zoom

June Meeting Announcement

Due to COVID-19, social distancing, and overall concern for the health and safety of our members, the NETNPA June Business Meeting will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, June 30th at 6:30pm.

Ways to register for this meeting and the links to the meeting will be posted in the upcoming days.

Please note that this will be the 1st meeting that we have conducted this way, so please understand that we will ALL be learning.  Zoom will be our anticipated platform for meetings for NETNPA during this time.

--Background on this decision:

Our Vice President, Sherry Williams, has been in contact with numerous pharmaceutical representatives and local restaurants that we have held our meetings with in the past and due to social distancing restrictions and group size limitations, the ability to accomodate our organization at this time is not practical.  

We will continue to monitor the situation, however, we anticipate that our NETNPA Business Meetings for the foreseeable future will not include a pharmaceutical representative dinner and speaker.  We will now conduct our business meetings via Zoom during this time.  We will discuss the details of this further during the June Meeting.

Agenda items to be addressed at the June Meeting include:

--nominations/discussion on 2020 election for positions of Vice President and Treasurer

--Scholarship Committee ideas--we have created an online application process per member feedback to help foster interested and make application easier, however, we have not gotten ANY applications for Fall up to this point.  No scholarship applications have been made via online form nor paper/mail.  We have discussed in the past combining the TWO $500 scholarships to create ONE $1000 scholarship for Fall and Spring semester.  Should this be somthing that we look back into since we have not had much interest?

--future NETNPA business meeting scheduling--due to COVID-19 and social distancing, do members still want to have "monthly" meetings during this time?  Do you want to have a different schedule/spacing?  We are all busy with obligations, stressors, etc.   Should we adopt an every other month meeting schedule to better accomodate and promote participation for the Zoom/online meetings?  

--there was interest in NETNPA merchandise per the Survey that was conducted earlier this year.  Coffee mugs and shirts were a couple of the items that people had expressed interest in purchasing.  Is there still interest in this?  If so, does anybody have a local or online company they would recommend?
