Position Description

Nurse Practitioner (NP) Job Description: Adolescent Mental Health

Title: Psychiatric Mental Health NP | Adolescent Resilience & Family Healing

Locations: Hillsborough, NC and Wake Forest, NC.

Join a leading, mission-driven behavioral health organization seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP preferred) to step into a high-impact role dedicated to transforming the lives of adolescents (ages 12–18) and their families. We offer structured Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs in the Hillsborough and Wake Forest, NC areas.

This role provides the chance to practice true integrated care in a supportive, non-production-based setting. You will use your clinical expertise to guide patients through significant behavioral health challenges, emphasizing healing, resilience, and strong family connection.

Why This Role Stands Out:

  • Impact-Driven Model: Focus on comprehensive, family-focused care using evidence-based modalities like DBT, CBT, and Mindfulness. Medication management is holistic, not high-volume.
  • Elite Collaboration: Work alongside a full multidisciplinary team (Psychiatrist, Therapists, Family Therapist) and benefit from academic partnerships with Duke, UNC, and NC State, offering unparalleled mentoring and learning opportunities.
  • Exceptional Work-Life Balance: A guaranteed Full-Time, 32-hour week (M–F, on-site) schedule with competitive compensation: $72,000 – $149,000/year (or up to $90/hour).
  • Clinical Mentorship: Serve as a mentor for medical students and clinical trainees from top regional programs.

Your Focus:

  • Lead psychiatric evaluations and provide continuous clinical oversight for adolescent patients in PHP/IOP settings.
  • Collaborate fiercely with the treatment team to design and execute integrated, evidence-based care plans.
  • Contribute to on-site crisis stabilization and participate in the in-house crisis hotline rotation.

The Ideal Fit (PMHNP Preferred):

You are a licensed NC Nurse Practitioner (new grads welcome!) with a passion for working with the adolescent psychiatric population (ages 12–18). You thrive in a collaborative, family-focused environment and are skilled in applying DBT/CBT principles.
