Position Description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Physician Assistant to join an inpatient Cardiology team in North Carolina for a 6+ month ongoing assignment.

Position Details:

  • Start Date: August 2025
  • Schedule: 7-on/7-off, Tuesday-Monday, 10 PM - 8 AM
  • Setting: Inpatient
  • Patient Volume: 6-8 per shift (Adult patients)
  • Procedures: No procedures required
  • Support: On-shift alone with MD backup on-call and 24/7 critical care MD on-site
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Call: No call required

Responsibilities:

  • Manage inpatient cardiology consults (general, interventional, heart failure, electrophysiology)
  • Handle floor calls for the cardiology service
  • Assess and treat patients independently with MD support available

Requirements:

  • Board Certification: Certified Physician Assistant
  • Licensure: North Carolina or Active IMLC LOQ
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS
  • Experience: Minimum 12 months in a relevant setting
  • Credentialing: 60-90 days
