Associate Professor, Department of Dermatology, University of South Florida Department of Dermatology
George F. Cohen, MD is a graduate of Howard University School of Medicine and completed his Dermatology residency at the Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and Member of the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States. In private practice until 2003, Dr. Cohen went on to hold positions at various medical institutions including Chief, Dermatology Section Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington DC; Clinical Professor and Dermatology Program Director, Florida State University College of Medicine; Clinical Associate Professor, University of Florida; and his latest appointment, Associate Professor, Department of Dermatology, University of South Florida Department of Dermatology. Dr. Cohen has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals including Dermatologic Surgery, Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, and Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, among others. He holds numerous military decorations including the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, and the National Defense Medal. Dr. Cohen brings many years of experience in the treatment of all types of dermatological conditions and has dedicated his career to academic dermatology and training the next generation of dermatologists.
